Where to find us

Scarborough is located 48 kilometres (30 miles) south of the centre of Cape Town. The Shore House it located near the northern end of Beach Road in Scarborough, with views across the milkwood-covered sand dunes to the Atlantic Ocean. It’s just a few minutes walk to the cafes and restaurants of Scarborough.

Directions from Cape Town Airport

  • Exit airport and take N2 Freeway in direction of Cape Town
  • After about 8 miles, take exit 6, to M3 in direction of Rhodes Drive, Muizenberg and Kirstenbosch
  • Take M3 south for about 10 miles, past UCT, through Newlands, past Bishopscourt, Wynberg, Constantia, Bergvliet and Tokai to the end of the M3
  • Turn right on the M42 (Steenberg Road) towards Noordhoek
  • After 1 mile, turn left onto M64 (Ou Kaapseweg) towards Noordhoek
  • Follow the M64 for about 8 miles, winding its way over the mountain and down to Sun Valley
  • Turn right onto the M65 towards Kommetjie and drive for about 3 miles
  • Just after Imhoff Farm (on right) and Ocean View (on left), turn left into Slangkop Road (still M65) towards Scarborough
  • After 1 mile, turn left onto Witsand Road (M65) toward Scarborough
  • You will arrive in Scarborough after 3 miles of driving along the winding coast road, with the Atlantic on your right
  • After about 300m, turn right into Camel Rock Road and drive towards the sea
  • Turn right at the end into Beach Road and drive towards the end.
  • The Shore House is the last-but-one from the end.
